hey guys new here! sorry if this is a repost!
i was planning on buying some kydex and i was wondering if anybody on here has attempted to make there own holster? if so could i see some pics and description of steps? thanks |

This old thread should help you out with understanding the basics even though it's centered around knife sheaths.
Kydex Working Instructions OK Here is one more that is way more involved. You can make a nice Kydex holster without a vacuum table though. http://www.f1design.us/05_How_Toos/Kydex/index.htm

sweet!! good info!! i have the opportunity to bye a lot of kydex really cheap!! but there is one catch!! the color....its a gray granite color!! do yall think that would make an ok holster? i think it would be fine???

Gray should be fine. Depending on what you are making , the thickness might matter. i have worked in only kydex 100 and carbon fiber faced kydex though.

ok thanks! its 60... i have seen several people us that for holsters but use 100 for the belt loop! where do u get your kydex?

The kydex 100 is a brand name I believe. I get mine from a few sources such as here Interstate Plastics - Product List I typically use .060 or .093 thickness kydex which I believe you are referring to?.
