Nice holster.
I prefer to carry a small .380 auto in my strong side front pocket as a BUG. Even if I don't carry my primary I still have a firearm on my strong side ready to go. |

Hello everyone, I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while as I've been busy building holsters for our local law enforcement officers. Anyway the holster Swiftyjuan is showing you is the New York Reload designed as Swifty said by my friend a Lieutenant on our Sheriff's dept. It is designed to be worn on the weak side as it carries 1 reload for your primary gun and your bug. It is becoming popular here with our Law Enforcement community. It will also be designed to carry other style bugs. Ok enough of a break for me, back to the shop I go ! I hope to talk to you later, if you have any questions just give me a call, but Swifty is our P.R. man, and doing a fine job if I do say so. Bye all
Best, Rhome

As many of you here have said, and which I remember, "the fastest reload is another gun".

Very nice looking holster and a great idea for off-duty BUG carry or maybe plain clothes but I don't know if I'd use it on the job without some kind of retention device, since it's right out in the open.
How about designing a BUG holster for duty belt wear? The biggest PIA about a BUG is finding a way to carry it that is secret, secure, and accessible. Some kind of a pouch that is non-descript and looks like something else to wear on the weak side. Maybe with a flap and a kydex holster on the inside for a j-frame revolver or small auto, like Kahr PM or P3AT/LCP sized. I know a lot of guys have their belts loaded already but I wear a shoulder holster with a double mag pouch when I'm working so I've got plenty of room on my belt. I also know a lot of guys here in Maine (shellfish wardens, game wardens, marine patrol) that don't carry as much extra stuff like tasers that would be interested in something like that. |

I thought the "New York reload" was carrying another gun in the same make and model of your primary carry.
