Supertuck Combat Grip?

I'm getting a Supertuck and am wondering if I should get the combat grip. I know I could just do it myself afterward if I didn't like the regular one but.... I don't have a dremel and I'd probally screw it up....

The combat cut makes it MUCH easier on the draw, especially when you have a high heart rate. You can draw pretty quick without it, but it's difficult to get your thumb in there for a correct grip without the cut.

I decided to save a little cash, and make my own cut. The problem is that I took a little too much off so when I reholster my 1911, the thumb safety will catch the edge of the holster. FYI, you don't need a Dremel to make your own combat cut. I just used a sharp pair of scissors to make the cut, and then burnished the exposed edge with a wooden dowel rod.

I assume there's quite a bit more grip/slide surface area exposed to abrade against the skin (assuming you don't wear an undershirt). Do you find that a problem?

I always wear an undershirt, so it hasn't been a problem for me.

I didn't order mine with the Combat Grip Cut because I figured if I decided later that I wanted it, I would just cut it however I wanted it with a utility knife. If you practice, the draw is fine without the cut. I don't plan on cutting mine as of right now. Basically, as you're drawing the weapon out of the holster, you slide your thumb over and voila!

I almost always wear my IWB holster with a shirt under it. After the initial newness... it doesn't bother me at all. What does hurt is getting bit by the slide, and that shouldn't happen even with the combat cut. There's still plenty of material between your side and the slide.

I ordered mine with it and am very happy I did. I did not notice any loss of comfort at all.

I voted yes, only because I like this option on mine.

I ordered mine without it..but after a couple of weeks I took out a sharp knife and made my own cut.

I feel like the cut made it easier to draw, YMMV.
