My kydex creations

Here are a few things I have made. You will notice that I do carry the light and mag side ways as I kinda have a belly over the belt and find this comfortable. I have been messing around with the clips as I don't wear a belt just spenders. The light and mag hold well on the pants on my weak side, but I did have problems with the Kahr holster coming out with the pistol on draw so I used some no buzz suspender clips to secure the holster to the pants. By the way the Smith is the ladys, yes she is a pistol packing Mama.

But I do like my MTAC. Though I think it may be a hot sweaty deal in the summer. This is my everyday carry.

Very nice work!

Could you show the class how those clips on the holster work? They look kinda neat.

Good job! Ingenious idea using the suspender clips. I know the Kahr's a light gun so I'm guessing they work pretty well in your application. Did you just cut them off some suspenders you have or were you able to just order the clips? Can you post a picture of you wearing it so we can see those clips attached?

Thanks!

Looks good. What are the clips on the Kahr holster?

I hope this shows the clips in action. I took these off a pair of suspenders I had that where to short. I have looked on the web and can't seam to find the clips. The suspenders are available from the suspender super store. I think they are call airport friendly suspenders. Basically they have a cam that rolls over and pinches the material.

In the pics below the closest cam is open and the far one is locked onto the pants.

Those are AWESOME.

GREAT idea with the clips. That is one of the areas that I think many holsters fail--in terms of their ability to hold and telegraphing what they are (gun holster).

That looks great. So, when are you opening for business???

Well the light holster was my first attempt the mag holster came second then the Kahr pistol and finally the Smith holster. Basically them are the first four items I have made using kydex. BUT I have messed around with leather, made and sold hunting decoys, built numerous duck boat blinds and my last creation was duck call lanyards. Over the years I have acquired some tools and skill messing around with a little bit of everything.
It also helped to have a couple quality holsters to look at and the great post by luvmy40 which can be found in the reference section second page, about working with kydex.

No I will not be going into business. The above endeavors have taught me its all fun and games until you start trying to make a profit then its just work with little time for anything else but the day job, hobby job and sleep.
