I just got an XD subcompact. I got a SuperTuck IWB for use at work. I'd like a nice OWB for weekends and for use to conceal under sweatshirts and jackets when I'm out and about.
Anybody with an XD subcompact (or other subcompact) find a real nice OWB? Thanks. |

Check out Don Hume's site... they have several. I have about 3 different styles and like every one of them, including their IWB ones.

Though I don't carry OWB very often, I really do like my D.M.Bullard Bodyguard; it's really designed for back of hip only, but that's where I like it. He makes a straighter drop model called the Combat for folks who don't like this much cant, too.

The two OWB holsters I like are the DefCon by Garry Brommeland and the belt scabbard by Greg Kramer. The DefCon holds a bit tighter to the body, but sits a bit lower on the belt, it also has more muzzle rear rake (20 degrees I think) compared to the Kramer at 15 degrees. Both excellent rigs.

I have a Don Hume 721OT for the XD sub compact and an Aker Flat Sider for the XD service.
I like the Aker better, but it cost almost double what the hume is. |

I went with Southern Holsters back when Tom's wait was only 4 weeks and the price was like $55. Great holster, excellent boning and the fit and finish can't be beat for that price. I have always wanted to get a regulator from Nate at UBG holsters, but that will have to wait as I have another baby on the way!
