SNAP vs. SLIDE ON

Do the snap loop style OWB holsters work as well as the "slide on belt"type?
Do the snap loop style type stay tight against the body with no drooping and ....etc.

I've got both, they work equally well. The slide on is thinner, and makes more sense if you put it on in the morning and take it off at night.

I have the Del Fatti LPS in which I carry a full size Kimber 1911 and it works fine with no drooping and stays tight to the body.

I have both. I like the strap & snap better, but I"m not sure I can say why.

I prefer to be able to take it on and off as i feel and the snap loops would fit my need perfectly provided they work as well as a slide on.

I have a Galco Summer Comfort IWB with snaps and I've never had any issues with them. I think it's just an issue of personal taste and what you feel more comfortable with.

Somewhat different concept on IWB.
IWB, your pants/belt do much to hold the gun into your body.
With OWB, as original poster asks, the way the belt goes through the holster can make a big diff as to how tight it holds into you; ie, slits or snap closed loops.

The very high-end 2 year wait ones do (Del Fatti, Alessi, Sparks), but the one week wait ones do not. High Noon - in my humble experience.

I prefer the slide on belt holsters as they hold closer to my body. They do take a little longer to put on and take off, but the extra 15 or 20 seconds I need to get on my carry gear is worth it. I really like the DeSantis Speed Scabbard and Blackhawk Compact Askins holsters, both pull the grip of my gun towards my body.
