I have been using a Galco Royal Guard IWB for the last 8 months or so - I love it. It might be a bit more expensive than some of the others you are looking at, but the quality at Galco has been great for me so far!

Actually, that is a brand I was looking at, specifically the #17 IWB. Looks like it is pretty thin and no mouth re-enforcement and only $45. Do you use the IWB holsters from them?

I have two favorites for my J Frame. A K&D Thunderbird and an Andrews Leather McDaniel II. Can't say I prefer one over the other except the Thunderbird can be IWB or OWB, a nice feature!

HBE Specialty Leatherworks Pro TL. Best "J" frame holster I've ever used and worth every penny! Get the one with the offset clip (not over the cylinder). Very secure and comfortable.

that was something else I was wondering about looking at various holsters, was the offset clip. Does it make it much thinner in the waist and still pull the butt of the gun in well?
