Suggestions

Yaqui Slide(with tension scew)for my Glock 26(and 19 too). Comments and suggestions welcomed. Like a minimilist holster. Have a Milt Sparks Summer Special IWB for my Colt OM, but prefer strong-side belt for the Glocks. Thanks guys!!

Suggestions about what? I carried my former G30 in a Don Hume J.I.T. holster with no tension adjustment just fine. The Yaqui Slide would also be a good one for a baby Glock in my opinion.

As far as minimalist belt slide options go, I am partial to the wilderness zip slide. It works really well

I really like my Desantis Yaqui for OWB carry. Use it all the time at the range and IDPA.

Seriously?

Don't get me wrong... I mean, whatever works... But I gotta wonder about several things when I see that photo:

Retention? Seems to me it would be close to nil...
Flopping/sagging of the butt outwards?
Concealment?

OK nevermind - Not trying to irritate anyone... But I don't believe I would carry in such a rig... YMMV, of course...

Regards,

Bones

Thanks guys....I dodged the Yaqui Slide and went with a DeSantis Mini-Slide that has a tension screw. it will work "double-duty" with my Glock 19. It should be here in a week or so.

Bones, fair questions all, but what do they say, don't knock it til you try it.

But, seriously... you'd be surprised by the retention on this holster. I had one for my beretta 92 prior to trading that in and was surprised at how well it held. To take from the website description:
Quote:
It is a straight-drop, minimalist beltslide holster constructed with a tough 100D Cordura nylon skin wrapped around a heat-molded polymer core. It is sewn and molded to the specific type of weapon, so the pistol or revolver is retained by a good friction fit when properly "pinched" upon reholstering.
I'd reckon the retention similar to kydex rig. As far as your other points, I'd just comment that not all holsters are designed to ride tight and conceal well. The OP wanted opinions about yaqui type holsters and to keep on point, I made a suggestion about this holster. What do I use everyday for concealment: IWB, that is my preference. I like full coverage holsters myself, BUT the zip slide works great for a range holster and is surprisingly concealable. It certainly doesn't hold as close to the torso as my IWB holsters but it's not bad as far as that goes. Their website has some other pics as well.
