I don't pocket carry my 642, but when I tried it I found the Mika holster much too bulky.
For an OWB I think that the Fist # 12 is about the best around, and especially when you consider cost and delivery times. I like the fact that the gun muzzle clears the holster at the top of the belt. Regards, Jerry |

I, on the other hand, find the Mika pocket holster to be perfect...and I wear fairly tight jeans.
![]() To be honest, the only reason I even own this 642 is because of the ability to pocket carry and its quick presentation. If it could only be utilized OWB or IWB...I have far better weapon options

I've been using the same Mika in my right front pocket for years, and have a brand new backup Mika, should I ever wear out my first Mika.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Mika.... ![]() |

Don't discount Comp-Tac for IWB and OWB. I've got a few of their holsters. My wife has one of their OWB's for a Bersa. I do have an IWB for a S&W 638 (Shirt Tucker model) Love 'em and it's hard to find a better company to deal with that these folks. Very customer oriented.

My only OWB with a thumb break is by Tagua. Found it at Benton Shooters and the price was great. The quality is good. The 642 rides high and tight and will not come out like my Don Hume holster.

I also use a Kramer pocket holster. It's pricey but will last a long time.
