I have posted before that I bought a Fist #12 for my son-in-law to use with a S&W 640. I liked it so well that I have one on order for me.
The thing I really like is the way the front is cut so that the muzzle clears the holster by the tiime it gets to the top of the belt.

I notice that the same holster for SA is not so cut, and it appears that the muzzle would have to be at least an inch higher to clear the holster.
FIST, INC.

I wonder why the difference. I don't care for high ride holsters, but want the muzzle to clear at the top of the belt.

I think the #7 would suit me better for a SA.
FIST, INC.

I also realize many/most like the high ride.

Fist does make a good holster. I am thinking I was quoted a 6-8 week lead time, but an not sure. It may have been 8-10. I'll just wait and someday it will come it. In the meantime I am using an El Paso Saddlery #88 "Street Combat" Holster for my J frames. I don't really care for the EP as the leather is soft as compared with others, and it is bulky and suede lined.

Regards,
Jerry
