J-frame Holster Pictures

I am in the market for a j-frame holster and my current choice is the BN-55 (FBI cant). I would love to see a picture of one being carried if anyone has one.

But I thought the could be a good thread for the search as well... I couldn't find one.

IMO the Sparks PMK is a better wheelgun rig, the 55BN rides pretty high where the PMK sits a bit lower and is only available for revolvers. I'd suggest you check out Rusty Sherrick at c-rusty.com, he makes fantastic holsters, current lead time is approx 10 weeks and all his rigs are horsehide (thin but extremely durable).

Some time ago, Twin Carry posted pictures of his favorite J frame holsters. He showed the PMK and a Fist modified #12. He said if it got down to it he would choose the Fist #12. I wish I could find the post, but I can't. It might have been on the 1911 forum.

As a result of his comments I ordered a left hand #12 for the 640 for my son-in-law. I was impressed enough that I have one for me on order. I especially like the fact that the muzzle will clear the holster at the top of the belt. It was a well made and well designed holster, with a great price comparatively speaking.
Take a look at the Fist # 12 before you make a final decision if you do not already have a "sunk in concrete" choice.

Regards,
Jerry

Does sparks do a 55BN for revolvers? You might only have the PMK as a choice for revolvers? They are real picky on which holster they make for a particular firearm. I have been turned down on many choices by Sparks even though their online catalog says they will make one. You might want to check with them first.
