IWB vs OWB

When I first started carrying it was always IWB. Now after a couple of years I really prefer OWB. My edc is a Kahr P9. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I just find OWB with my shirt untucked works well for me. Thanks.

Owb/iwb

I find myself wearing more OWB lately just for sheer comfort and ease. Don't get me wrong, I love IWB's but OWB around my shop is much more comfortable. Except when I am clumsy and ding into a table corner... LOL.

Dave, any suggestions for an OWB for a Taurus model 85 UL with a 2 inch barrel?

Taurus 85

I have sold more of my Hoplons for that model than anything. The next would be pocket rigs.
Pretty much every maker has a high ride pancake style that works very well w/ that.
Kevin w/ K&D has his Thunderbird which is an OWB/Tuckable.
HBE has great OWB's and conversions.
I also like the Kramer Belt Scabbard.
My other OWB's are from Horse Shoe Leather (Holsters for Handguns, Firearms and Concealment at holsters.org), Mitch Rosen and the other escapes me.
Also a paddle is nice too. I have done a few cross-draw/anti-carjack paddles. They can also be used in other configurations.

Good luck to ya. If you have any questions, gimme a call... If nothing else, I can recommend some other rig types from other makers that may be up your alley. There are some great makers out there....

Cheers!

I felt like I had to carry IWB when I started. Everyone pushed me that way... but I eventually downsized (Airweight 642) and carry OWB daily. I like it better.

I've carried IWB for so long I feel naked without it. Most OWB's now feel less secure than my trusty IWB's.

It depends on what I am wearing and the pistol I am carrying.

Full size autos OWB

Revolvers and compacts autos IWB

Dave,
I think I like the look of the Hoplons. I'll be calling in the next few days.

I've grown accustomed to IWB's...
I tried OWB, but found it awkward and bulky...OMO
