Are all kydex mag carriers equal? Are the higher $$ brands worth it?
As for kydex mag carriers, is there really much of a difference in quality/fit/ergonomics of the different brands? (Uncle Mikes, Comp-Tac, Blade-Tech, Safariland, etc)
I do have several Uncle Mikes mag carriers, and they do the job just fine. It would be nicer if the exterior was more rugged and scratch resistant. What are your thoughts/experiences when comparing different brands of kydex mag carriers? Thanks ![]() |

I know everybody says that they are crap but I love the feel of the Fobus Double Mag Paddle Holster. It's super comfortable, holds the mags tight, and rides high for good concealment.

If it works, good enough! I use a Uncle Mikes mag carrier , also have a Blackhawk carrier. Both work well.

How does it ride on the belt?
How easy on/off? How tight the fit? It's a matter of personal preference... ![]()

Well maybe I can answer your question......I've carried in a Fobus for about four years.....didn't have any problems.....My son also carrys and he talked me into buying a Blackhawk serpa level 2....now theres a little difference in price.......fobus $25.00 and the blackhawk $ 45.00 now thats a difference of $ 20.00......what I can tell is that the blackhawk is here to stay.....one fine holster.......heavy duty kydex and it doesn't move around and rides great......So as the old saying goes ( you get what you pay for )......
so good luck to you...drillsergeant: SgtMoe

I forgot to add that I paid $17 for my double mag Fobus. I couldn't see paying more for a mag holster when this one works so well.
