Question

There selling 1911 holsters on ebay. Was thinking of getting one but came across this thread. Kinda scared to do so now.
Check out the link Rafter S Gunleather 3" 1911 holster Ostrich/Elephant - eBay (item 120464197036 end time Sep-03-09 13:29:23 PDT)

Holy crap! They are selling items they say are in stock on Ebay, yet they can't deliver goods that were paid for 6 months ago to regular customers.

That's pretty special.

Yeah, I saw them selling on ebay too . . . wouldn't touch one with a ten foot pole though.

What's really interesting, is that they have 100% positive feedback. On eBay there are pretty rigid requirements about delivering items in a prompt manner.

If you look at there feedback though, there is many nuetral feedbacks that complain it took over three weeks + to get BUY IT NOW holsters! They have a 3" ostrich w/elephant for 167.00. I offered them 100.00 she countered with 135.00
Think I might get it and see what happens. I'll let you guys know.

I am not a vindictive SOB BUT.....
If they had stolen my money, I would BIN on one of their items, not pay for it and then leave them negative feedback. Hell if half the people in this thread who were STOLEN from did that they would have a negative feedback score by the end of the day, and you might save some unsuspecting ebayer from getting ripped off.
I'm just saying

That's the shame of it, some poor SOB that isn't aware of their bad reputation will make an honest bid and end up gettin' cheated like so many others.

That really wouldn't work out. But I do like the way you think.

I haven't dealt with RafterS for over a year, but from the postings it doesn't look like they've improved their customer service any. That's really too bad. My experiences with Della mirror those of other posters: promises not kept, repeated delays, excuses, excuses, excuses,....

There's no denying that the end product (if received) is of high quality, but if/when the item shows up the question still remains: Will it be what I ordered? As much as I admired the work received, the poor CS turned me off on the company forever.

Here's a pic of my "Honey" elephant w/tan alligator trim OWB holster/magazine pouch/belt set for a SIG P245:
