Yeah, me too, as of today.

After a few iterations of: I call, ask where the belt is, and am told "it'll ship tomorrow" but a week later, no belt, I tried a new approach. I call, am told the belt will ship tomorrow. Then, the next day I call, and ask for tracking info. Then I'm told "I don't have that in front of me, I'll call you back with it" and then of course no return call, ever.

This cycle has repeated maybe a half dozen times over the last 2 months. In short, every single time I call them, the woman there lies through her teeth with the sole purpose of getting me off the phone.

The last time I vowed to do a CC chargeback if no belt arrived and she said "there's no need to do that -- the belt shipped yesterday." Of course the belt never arrived, so that was one last lie to end the perfect sequence of her lying with every single phone call.

It's now been 7+ months since the initial order (and they charged my CC a microsecond after the order was made). So today I went through the hassle of typing up a detailed chargeback request. I have no idea how long these take, and what the odds of success are. I'll post later with the results.

My bank put the money back in my account and took it up with Rafter S. I dont know what came of it. Glad the bank took care of me.

I hope this thread will stay up top so other may be made aware.

Thumbs down Do not buy rafter s belts!!!

I ordered a belt from Rafter S over two months ago and after several emails, phone calls and several promises, I still haven't received the belt that I paid for. There is no end in sight and I have been forced to file a Paypal dispute to get my money back.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

It has been my experience that custom leather takes longer than 2 months. That is no excuse for bad customer service though.

2 months is nothing to get excited about. Some folks tell of waiting 6-12 months for a Quality belt from some of the premier belt makers.

I sent my black sharkskin belt in for a replacement since the ink was leaking on it back in December 08. Della (and the 'other guy' that answers the phone) told me several times over the first three months that my replacement belt was in the mail. Well after dozens of repeat phone calls and dozens of emails I still have nothing and now don't even get a response. I have been very polite about this up until about a month or so ago even after several lies and excuses from them. They now have my belt and my money. I agree with the original poster that they have absolutely the worst customer service around and since they have both my money and belt without any response, they are flat out thieves. I'm not done with them. Oh, when I first ordered the belt it did come in under 30 days. Of course, YMMV.

I welcome their response here on this forum or any other of what excuse they have to treat customers this way.

You can add me to the list of folks that have been ripped off by these [Edited]. I placed my pre-paid belt order 17 weeks ago. "Della" has not replied to my last two emails. And the one and only time I have spoken to her by phone I got the "It will ship tomorrow or Monday" line of BS.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!
