Going to order the Fist #1a clip for my pm9 but am thing about adding the skin guard to it, and was wondering is it really needed?

Yes, the 'body protector' is well worth the $8-9 it adds.

I have many Fist holsters and all of them have the added leather (some styles automatically come with it, some do not).

I have about 8 #1A Fist holsters (for various sidearms)...great choice, you'll find it to be a superb holster.

Stay armed...use Fist holsters...stay safe!

Yes, the "sweat shield" is worth it.

I've got a Fist #17A IWB for my CZ P-01 and it makes a big difference. Particularly if you're going to have the gun against your body (instead of against a shirt), you'll be far happier, IMO, with the shield there.

I've been thinking about getting a #1A in kydex with the shield for my Glock 23. I already have a sweet TT Gunleather for my PM9. Look here.
