Need help repairing a leather holster

I need to know what kind of glue I should use to repair a holster. It is an IWB holster. There is a piece of suede glued to the back of the holster to make it more comfortable while up against the skin. At the top part of the holster, that suede piece is starting to peal off. I know I could send it back to the maker for repair, but that would probably take 2 to 4 weeks. Does anyone know what kind of glue would be best to glue this back together?

I have used good old super glue to do the same thing. Worked like a charm and is still good to go after a year and a half.

Super glue works, but IMO it should be Glued and Stitched.

A shoe repair shop should be able to glue and stitch it for almost nothing. Never have to worry about it again.

I second the shoe shop. Nothing like a good cobbler shop, especially one that sharpens knives as well.

You can pick up some leather contact cement at a number of places like craft stores, shoe repairs, Tandy leather and others.

I like BARG... it's pretty tough. But yes, it should be stitched. A shoe repair will square it away... that is who I used to bug before I entered the business.

I've used my local shoe guy a number of times...mostly to put an extra stitch or two near the trigger guard to tighten up an older holster...and I think he secretly enjoys putting the gun in and out to test the tension...

Contact cement may not work well now that the holster has been used. I purchased a "mole skin" liner for my CompTac Mtac and tried to cement the mole skin to the inner holster leather after I had worn it now for about 8 months or more. Didn't hold! Too much sweat and body oil in the leather to allow the cement to hold. It peeled off in two days.

Then, there was residue from the cement that had to be scraped off the leather in spots where it did stick. That made an ugly mess.
