I've been using Brommeland Leather for the last few years with my 1911 and G19. Good quality and very comfortable.

For IWB use, I use two holsters for my Kimber 1911s:
1) Crossbreed Supertuck
2) Milt Sparks VM-II

best of luck -

+1 I have the Black Ops for my 5" 1911. Awesome holster with attached bonus of excellent customer service.

Welcome! I've got a DW CBOB and use a Crossbreed Super Tuck. Ditto on needing a holster with 2 points to connect to the belt. The other good thing about the Crossbreed (and I presume others like it) is that it fits my 5" Springfield MilSpec and 3" Kimber as well.

So, compare thew 2 for me?

Right now, I am split between a VM 2 and a Crossbreed. If I go the route of a VM 2 style, I don't know how much I like the idea of the belt loops and may decide on a different maker that offers that style with belt clips(HBE Leatherworks or UBG Holsters). Give me your opinion of the 'loops.'

Also, how does the comfort compare between the two? When I look at the crossbreed, it doesn't look like it could be very comfortable, but everything i have read says otherwise.

You might want to consider Spark's Watch-Six, I have found it to be a great holster for the 1911.

I carry a 1911 IWB most of the time and I am very happy with my Milt Sparks VersaMax-II.

Similar models can also be found with less of a wait.

There is no best. Pick what you like. You may do like quite a few of us have done. Buy a few to get what "you" like, what works for "you".

Good luck.
