Anyone used this?

The Original Belly Band - Magills.com

It looks very promising like it could support a variety of clothing styles. So far, it only has six reviews, but they're all positive.

I have a galco belly band that I use every once in awhile,it has the dual leather gun pouches sewn in,you can use it either right or left hand,high or low.sj

I have a belly band from Magills and it worked okay until I put on a few pounds on.

I read a review about one in the most recent issue of SWAT and it was a different brand but the belt was 5 inches wide and had velcro straps to secure your own personal choice of holster to fit your particular gun. The extra width is said to keep it from rolling down when sitting etc.

I have used this one quite a bit. Bought my first one about 10 years ago. I must say though that it is mostly around the house that I wear it. You know, lounging around in gym shorts or sweats and a t-shirt. It holds my G23 well along with one reload, cell phone, and my knife. It has two holsters, one for revolvers (that's where I slip in the knife) and one for autos. Not a quick draw method though. I alternate with the smart carry. When I leave the house I do try to change into jeans and wear a good holster.

Lenny Magill is claiming he originated this concept?

I've got a Bianchi belly band rig that I purchased when Lenny Magill was still shooting/hustling video at matches.

As some have noted, the concept has limited applications... but it can be useful.

I ordered a Galco Belly Band and am expecting it to be delivered today. I will plan to try it out and post my findings. I've been using a SmartCarry for most cc so far and it has worked better for me than IWB holsters (I'm 6 feet tall and weigh about 165). I'm thinking the belly band may offer sone addtional concealment options for me. The holsters I've tried just seemed to cause to much bulk and required "fiddling with" whenever you transitioned from sitting to standing to driving, etc. With the SmartCarry - once I got it in a postion that suited me - I did not have to worry so much with the arrangement nor printing.
