What thickness for hybrid holster?

Well I've read through a bunch of the "make your own kydex holster" threads and I gotta say it has enticed me to try it out. I've seen kydex all over the internet in various thicknesses and was wondering what would be the best for a hybrid holster?

I don't know much about making kydex holsters or availability of different kydex material but if you can get a hold of some of the ultra thin kydex that FIST uses, you'll be off to a great start.

.060 gives the best compromise between durability and workability.

.040 fails quickly under frequent use

.093 is a bit thick to form nicely by hand, especially detail areas

.125 and up is too thick, period.

Thank you for that info, that is EXACTLY what I needed! There is a local plastic company near here I'm going to hit up Monday morning. They work with Kydex so it shouldn't be too hard to get a couple pieces of scrap I hope.
