IWB tuckable holster. Who makes the best? - Page 4

All the brand mentioned are great ways to carry but don't forget the best belt you can afford.

After reading lots of comments and suggestions on several different forums, I decided to go with the Kholster. I ordered on Sunday, it shipped on Monday, and I received it on Wednesday. I am very happy with this holster. It's not fancy but it is VERY functional.

The smooth side of the leather is on the back (on your skin), and feels much better than a gun rubbing against you. I bought mine for my Glock 26 and it fits like a glove; easy to draw, but won't fall out when held upside down. In a pinch, I could use it for my Kel-Tec PF-9 or Walther P22, although the fit is a tad loose. The metal belt clips are quite sturdy and it stays put, with the gun snug against the body. Cant and depth are adjustable, and the leather could be trimmed to suit your individual needs. Jimmy, the owner, got right back to me when I emailed him a couple of questions.

It has a 90 day satisfaction guarantee (you pay the shipping), and a lifetime warranty.

crossbreeds are good, however, check this out:

Pure Kustoms

Nothing fits better or feels better than a custom made holster. A bit spendy, but totally worth it!

I carry OWB...but am considering going IWB...I have a few Q's, seems this is the place (sorry, don't mean to hijack this thread OP)...

- If you carry IWB do you have to wear an undershirt to keep comfortable? Looks like there would be a lot of rub/abrasion...what's your opinion/experience?

- IWB looks 'rigid'...I assume most of these holsters loosen up/break in?

- IWB means going a bit beyond 4 o'clock or so? I'm basically at 2 - 3 o'clock now w/OWB...IWB means going to maybe to 4 o'clock or so? Bit more behind the back?

Just trying to get a feel for what IWB may feel like...

regarding your questions re IWB: I can't speak for others, but the Crossbreed I wear is actually fairly flexible--I bought the horsehide because it is a bit stiffer- but even so, it eventually molds itself to your body's contours--its really comfortable and have found myself forgeting its there. As to position--a lot of foks wear IWB at 2:00 or 3:00. Personally, I find it just feels better at 4:00 or even 4:30.

The only drawback to the Crossbreed (and many of its imitators) is the Kydex. It's OK, and relatively cheap, but I find myself longing for a leather (horsehide) holster rather than the Kydex. I love my Kramer horsehide IWB but its not tuckable; I love my Crossbreed, but the holster portion is Kydex; Holsters by Eric has some beautiful holsters, but they are cowhide and I think they need stiffeners to keep the throat of the holster open; Milt Sparks VM2, in order to be tuckable requires the holster to ride on the pants and not the belt. I'm still searching.............
