Yea I wore leather for years and went to the Wilderness Frequent Flyer and love it. It is pretty casual so if you need to be dressed up it won't fit the bill. Since I retired, I'm a jeans and fatigue guy, works perfect for me.

Beltman and Sparks have made me happy. Not so happy with Wilderness. I guess I prefer leather. Much more stiff.

I got a Wilderness belt a couple months ago and I love it. I carried for several months with a pretty standard belt I got at Academy, and finally got to spend the money on a Wilderness belt. What a wonderful difference it made!! I really like their belts, but next I'm going to get a Beltman so I can wear it tucked without much looking funny.

At the time of my order, The Beltman had a 30 day wait. I placed my order then got an OK DeSantis 1.5" belt for around $20-25 at my local gun shop to get me through. The DeSantis will work, but it's not stiff and thick like the Beltman's superb product.

Im going to vote for crossbreed. I have one and like it. According to some post on here he's shipping pretty quick to. I think they were holsters though. Id guess belts would come quick also.

I have three different gun belts:

A Beltman. It is very nicely made and the stiffness is excellent. However, it is thicker than I like.

Liger. Made of a synthetic material with an internal stiffener. It is every bit as stiff as the Beltman while being much thinner. I am not real fond of the unusual buckle design though.

Galco Matrix MB1. Made of the same material as the Liger, but without the internal stiffener. So far it seems to work well, but I haven't had it very long so I don't know how it will hold up. It was by far the cheapest (under $30).

My wife has a Cabela's "Double Duty" which is currently on sale under $30. While not up to Beltman quality, it certainly does the job.

Try Dave at http://littlebearholsters.com/. I've got a great belt and holster from him. He does quality work at very fair prices.

Good 1.5 inch gun belt???
That depends on who you ask. I got two belts made last year by a local leather shop. Good 1/4" thick, one 1 1/4" wide, and one 1 1/2" wide and both fit all of my jeans, custom made to accept any buckle I want, and only six holes double row (which I like) and stainless buckles. Both cost me under $50. I guess I'm not one to have a drawer full of belts like a drawer full of holsters that I never use, and $100 finds it's way to better things the way I am. I may be missing out on something, but only someone else is going to tell me so. I'm happy with what I've got and they work well. This forum has showed me enough to quit buying at Sears though, and besides that...I've supported the Mom and Pop shops that hand make their leather goods. What more can you do for America?

I ordered my Beltman around the second week of May and I bought a Kevlar lined belt from the Glockstore to get me by. The store quality wasn't lasting and didn't hold well.. I got my Beltman today and having wore it yet, but it looks GREAT,. 1-1/2, black,.. :-)
