LCP w/ crimson trace grip for appendix carry.
TRUST, I am using a IWB #1 for my LCP. I am looking at it now and I do not think it will fit an LCP with CT.

Which version are you using? The M&Pc isn't listed, nor is the full-size. I've been using a P2000/USPc SkyOps for mine and want to go with AIWB for those times I'm not using the VMII.

I am 6'3" and weigh 260 and often carry the rig in the picture. The holster is a Comp-Tac 2 O'Clock Carry and is meant for appendix carry. I can sit with it comfortably after a little adjustment to get it just right.

The gun in the pic is a Ruger SP-101 with a 2-1/4" barrel

I have a bit of a starvation survival kit as well and I find IWB appendix carry to be uncomfortable, but I do carry my PM9 at 2 o'clock OWB in a sherrick U.S. High ride. Its out of the way when I sit and does not print with a t-shirt as a cover garment, my most comfortable carry position.

I carry a S&W 649, steel frame. First I tried my Galco IWB @ the 4 or 5:00 strong side but my body build would not comfortably accomodate that position. The 2:00 position, or there about, forward of my hip bone, is very comfortable when I'm walking, out and about, and only requires a little adjustment when sitting or getting in and out of the car. For OWB carry, I found a used Galco pancake holster that fits perfectly @ 4:00 on my strong side no matter what I'm doing.

I started last year with a PM9 in a Comp-Tac 2 O'Clock when I was doing a lot of driving. Seated in the car or truck the gun was comfortable enough and accessibility was good.

It worked out good enough that this year I wanted to start carrying my G26 AIWB, so this spring I picked up a Side Guard Clip Tuck. It's comfortable and conceals well. For me with the gun @ 1:00 I can sit comfortably with it.

For reference I'm thin, 5'11" 150-155 lbs

Do some searches over at the WarriorTalk carry forum, they have a lot of discussion of AIWB.

I'm not a big guy (5'10" 175 lbs.) and I can comfortably carry a G17 or G19 in the appendix position (usually carry the 19 since concealment is a little better in light clothing). Among other reasons, ease of access when sitting is why I like this method of carry.

I think the biggest thing is going to be using a holster that gives you a muzzle-forward cant so that the barrel/slide follows the crease of the hip. I've been using a Tucker Cover-up for about 1.5 years and really like it. The High Noon "Mr. Softy" is also a good, low cost option. And if you prefer kydex, the Raven Concealment Systems "Appendix Carry Rig" is a great choice.
