A suit is great for carrying because you don't look out of place with your cover garment on...if planning on removing it, it's like you're in business casual, so go with a tuckable, ankle, Smartcarry, holster under-shirt, belly band, or pocket concealment.

A 1.25" gunbelt is plenty sturdy to carry any gun IWB or OWB and isn't out of place on a suit. A Kramer single-thick horsehide belt is something I've considered for when I'm carrying just a gun/mags and not a full rack of LE gear. You can get a 1.25" with a plastic stiffener if the normal gunbelts are somehow not stiff enough for you.

Pocket Pistols are ideal for Suit Evening Wear. Having a varied collection of firearms is a good idea so as to be flexible for the varied environments with which one exercises their 2nd Amendment Right. Today, for example, I am wearing jeans, and the weather is somewhat seasonably warm. Hence i am carrying my S&W .38 Special in a pocket holster. If my wife and I were to go out later and the night may require a sweater, then I may carry my sharp looking Kimber Ultra Carry II in my IWB holster. Sweater covers it all.

My IWB for my sw99 is tuckable. I had to wear a suite and it worked out great!

You could also go with one of the deep concealment holsters:
Deep Concealment shoulder holster,With the DeepConcealment you can conceal your gun with a plain shirt,For correct sizing please measure your chest's circumference about 4" below the armpit.

Or one of the 5.11 undershirts:
Concealed Carry | 5.11 Tactical

Some folks have mentioned to also have a couple of the buttons on your dress shirts have velcro on the inside instead (leave the button on to look normal) so you can easily open your shirt if you need to get to your weapon. I've tried both of the ones in the links and prefer the 5.11 shirts (because of my gut) but it's not my favorite way to carry. I usually go IWB tucked or pocket carry (PM9).

I very commonly carry while wearing suits and have been for years. I've never once had a problem.
Law enforcement officers from detective on up do same.

I use my same normal IWB holsters (leather or kydex) and my everyday normal mag carrier be it a single mag (leather Bianchi model 20A) or double (kydex).

I've carried as such to public functions, private corporate meetings, school functions (held off school grounds), and as well I've shot an IDPA match while wearing a suit w/tie too.

Doing so is nor more work or difficult than in more normal street clothes with a cover.
As to a belt I wear a normal off the rack dress belt. None of my holsters dive nor swim. No modifications required.
In fact I don't have a 'gun belt' and never have aside from my custom Bandera holster belt. All of my other belts I bought specifically paying attention to their construction, thickness, and density for holster use but they are none the less off the rack dress belts. Gun specific belts tend to look to be as much and my personal goal is to be as non descript blend in able as at all possible. I don't even want fellow gunnies to know or suspect I'm carrying, even as i might be at or amongst gunfu locales and groups.

For events and times where I know up front I need deep cover carry because removal of my jacket/cover will be socially or situationally expected I then carry using my Under Cover Comfort Carry holster shirt.
In that case draw is slower but with practice at home and prior planning that too can be pulled off with ease. I've used it a number of times for same including once when wearing a suit to a museum event where I'm a chair and executive board member and it was late summer so jackets off was a social expectation.
No one was the wiser.

Like any other mode of carry and firearm relation IMHO the key is training, before hand.
Put on the clothing you expect to wear days ahead of time at home and wear it for several hours or even all day. As well check yourself in a full length mirror 360 degrees. This is a necessary investment.
Become very familiar with and knowledgeable of what angles you can and cannot bend, stretch, reach (up), and move in general. Practice sitting _and_ standing as well as entry into and out of your car. I have done this myself with both of my own vehicles as the eats are different. It matters and can save you great embarrassment if not your cover blown or worse a man with a gun police response.

Bottom line though to my experience carry in a suit is not a problem at all.
But then I carry while biking. I regularly carry when visiting my local gym including doing pushups which is part of my normal warm up routine and when doing squats too on leg days (easier than one might imagine). I have even carried to a local family water inlet 'beach' IWB while wearing swim shorts and just a tank top for cover. Regularly I run around and horse play with my kids at local public parks including climb stuff all while carrying...amongst a very much leftist and anti community. Key is to know exactly what you can and cannot do as carrying in whatever select clothing _before_ walking out the door. No surprises.

For the last nine years I own and carry exclusively 1911s in all sizings & weights from 5" full steel guns including one with a rail weighing in at 41oz dry to a SA Lightweight Compact to a Colt 'Defender'.
All of the above including suit carry, gym carry, and beach carry have been accomplished with no problem and a modicum of pre-planning/forethought whilst running 1911s and at least one of not two spare magazines.

- Janq is 6'1" at ~165 to 175 lbs., depending on the season of the year, with a constant 30" pant waist size and wears athletic cut tailored and fitted suits

I carry IWB with a K&D Dakota Defender (tuckable).
Or, an Undercover Comfort holster shirt (better material than Kramer or 511).

Both work great.
