Mika pocket holster?

I've read a lot of great things about Mika pocket holsters on here, but for the first time today I got to see one and try it it was really nice indeed. It was for a round cut model made for a buddy's 642,but it fit my colt cobra like a glove.

My questions are being I wear cargo/docker type pants/shorts would the square cut version be better for me?,as I didn't like how the holster wanted to tip in my large pocket. Also what is the wait time for one of these pocket holsters? And is the square cut version any bigger than the round cut of is it the same size? Thanks for any help guys.

I have a round cut Mika holster for my 642. I bought an Uncle Mike's Sidekick square cut pocket holster, size 4, for my cargo shorts, etc... It's come in pretty handy as it fits my 642, my Ultra Carry II and my CW9.

I bought both the round and square cut from Mika. The square works perfectly in my cargo pants.

It's only bigger in the area that is square and not cut off to be round. You can get two Mikas for the price of one leather holster.

I too would recommend the square cut Mika for cargo pants.

I have one for my Smith 642 and it is all that I use when I carry the snubbie. I always wear cargo pants and have the square cut. It's the only way to go. I have to add this: On the rare occasion that I wear lightweight dress pants I use the square and still carry my 642. I think the square works for everything, whereas the round may not. YMMV, of course.

Get both. Use the square for most cargo style and the round for docker non-cargo and dress pants.

Both work great. np printing of "gun" and holster stays in pocket on the draw. And, as was said, they are quite inexpensive.

not to hijack the thread but how do you like the Ultra carry II with the Uncle Mikes? Does it cover the trigger guard?

I hear and read good things about Mika's holsters. I've never owned one but will second the FIST K5 advice. I have two and they are excellent holsters.
