The Beltman in Shark

I've not yet had the opportunity to post pics of the new belt so I thought I'd bite the bullet today and git 'er done. This is my reinforced, 1.5" shark on bullhide carry belt from thebeltman.net.

As you can see, I also purchased the matching key hanger to go with it. Before expanding on the subject of the belt, have a look at the key hanger. I was pleasantly surprised to see the double hook fastner where the keys go. No worries about losing the ring during heavy activity.

The belt is very nicely finished and the buckle, while diminutive, is rather simple and attractice.

The belt "keeper" is done in skin and is dual layered just as the rest of the belt; shark on bullhide.

This belt is not the tapered model so this is what the standard tail end looks like on a Beltman belt.

Here's a view from the inside. Note the black edge sealer applied to the edges to give uniform color appearance from the outside.

As you can see here, the buckle is held in place by "Chicago Screws."

The belt is marked by the maker and stamped with the size.

Here's a shot of the belt with my HBE Specialty Leatherworks holster, the DC Tuckable, also with shark trim.

Impressions:
The belt arrived some 45 days after the order was recieved which is normal for deliveries to Alaska so the backlog was 40 days as stated by the company. The fit and finish of the belt seem excellent and I believe the belt will perform well for years to come. I've upgraded from my previous belt, a High Noon "Rock Steady" in 1 1/4". I find I don't have to tighten the belt nearly as much as the stiffer, wider belt supports the weight of the gun better.

If you are considering a high-quality CCW belt, I'm sure you will be pleased with the work done by The Beltman.

Beautiful belt...enjoy.

I just ordered a shark belt from The Belt Man about two weeks ago...I can hardly wait to strap on my SIG with it!
