Just having problems concealing my PPS...

I love this little gun and caliber, it always works perfectly...

The problem is that sometimes I slack on evening carrying it because I know I'm printing a little.

I have a great CrossBreed Velcro lined belt and a CrossBreed Supertuck for it. Which I don't think I can improve on. I'm built at 6' 155lbs.

I've mostly been carrying it about my 5:00 position which works great standing but as soon as I lean on over the butt of the gun sticks out like a sore thumb, my shirt will go over the belt line etc.

Tried carrying it at 3:00 but didn't much like that either.

I really don't want to part ways with this little fellar as it works so good and I'm not going to be able to get anything easier to conceal unless it fits in my pocket. (requiring caliber reduction a no-no).

Anyone using a supertuck and a Walther PPS please chime in, how are you carrying? What position? What cant? Do you have the clips adjusted so the gun sits farther down your waist line or up higher on your back?

Any info would be much appreciated.

Wear a wee bit looser clothing.

I would say longer looser shirts may help.
maybe try an open draw holster in same position
and tuck it in a little lower

No supertuck here, but I wear my PPS just off the belt buckle (LH for me) and it disappears with a high ride OWB holster and a long t shirt.
Consider using the shorter mag too , if you are not already .

Alot of people print when bent over, try to bend at the knees instead. Typically, wearing at 3-4 o'clock your firearm will print less than at 5 o'clock. I agree with longer looser shirts and possibly lowering the gun deeper into your pants. Just be careful that it doesnt get too deep as it is harder to grab the grip.

The PPS is a good gun for IWB carry. Its slim profile makes it almost ideal for that. But, I think that as with any IWB you almost have to wear loose fitting clothing.

If you can't conceal a PPS, I'd consider something like a pen knife or a razor blade.

Seriously though, the PPS has gained a reputation for being one of the most concealable guns around, and that's certainly been the case for me. I'm wearing it at three o' clock in a C-TAC IWB. It works in jeans and about nine out of ten of the shirts I own. In addition to bending at the knees, consider the possibility that you might be too self conscious. Sure, you might be showing an angle here or there, but in this day and age, even if anyone notices (and they rarely will), they will rarely take note. We carry phones, PDAs, MP3 players, games, insulin pumps, and who knows what else. Unless you are printing so bad that the actual image of a gun is being created, it's doubtful that the very few people that even notice are going to care.

What is the law in your state concerning printing? Are you printing an actual "gun" shape, or is it a generic bulge that could be a cell phone, Ipod, or any other belt-hung electronic device. If you're wearing OWB, be sure your belt isn't letting the holster sag. A $100 holster is no good if hung on a $10 Wal-Mart belt.

If this is such a concern, possibly consider a second garment...like a vest or loose button-up shirt. And don't feel that a little printing is a dead giveaway.

Last night I was two feet away from a guy who was wearing a vest...for about 2 hours I never COULD tell for sure if he was carrying. He did lean over, and it looked like it could have been the butt of a pistol sticking out, but even now I'm not 100% sure, and I was staring straight at it and watching for it. If I, in that condition, couldn't tell for sure (and the other 90 people in the room didn't seem to notice despite the close quarters), it seems that the extra layer provides some good cover.

I squat down with my back straight, and reach back and hold my back with a grimace, like I am in pain. My knees make a loud pop to add to the effect.
