Kydex Shoulder Holster Retention
Looking for opinions.
Do you think a horizontal shoulder holster made of kydex would have enough retention to not need a thumb break? This would be a custom holster that I make myself.

I have one, it has two settings. Not enough retention, and "Good luck getting your weapon out today".

Nope, I use a Blackhawk SERPA with the shoulder rig straps that works well however.

SURVIVAL SHEATH SYSTEMS
They make really nicely constructed Kydex shoulder holsters that do not use a retention strap. Looks like they use a tension adjustment screw. That might be really tricky/difficult for you to do as a home DIY project. ![]() |
