galco j frame options
Hi,
Just picked up a 642 today. The guy at the store showed me a Galco Side Snap Scabbardd. He said it's his favorite for the J frame. Very comfortable, hides pretty well, can be removed without removing the belt. I was wearing shorts so I didn't try it. Also while looking at the Galco site I see the speed paddle holster. Does anyone have any experience or advice as to whether either of these are good for me and my 642 ? Thank you, Floyd |

I have the Summer Special IWB with two snaps. I like it a lot for when i am not pocket carrying. The speed paddles are very nice and Galco is the best "off the shelf" maker out there IMHO. Paddles just dont conceal as well.

Two excellent Galco considerations for J-frm OWB open mouth carry are the Stinger and Concealable.

I have a Galco FLETCH for the J frame and have been very happy with it. For IWB I have the Bianchi model 120 it does not print at all and is very comfortable. I think I ordered from Bassproshop online.

There are many holsters besides Galco, (not that they're inferior). I'd look around before making a choice.
