IWB Clip Over or Under?

This is my first time wearing an IWB holster (Crossbreed Microclip). All my other holsters were either pocket or OWB. Do you put the clip over the belt or do you put the belt over the clip? Any particular reason for either?

I also have a crossbreed, though mine's of the supertuck variety. I got the velcro clips and a belt with Velcro on the inside. Works beautifully and I haven't had a single issue in the year+ I've been using the rig. I had the clips that go over the jeans/under the belt and hook up at the end. They worked but I was (and still am) fairly new to carrying and wanted something with a more solid feel.

I would recommend the setup to most anyone.

It depends on the type of clip. Which type of [belt] clip does your holster come with?

I carry my P239 in a Crossbreed SuperTuck with the standard steel clips over the belt. The weight of the weapon is carried by the belt and doesn't tug on the waistband of my jeans or whatever pants I happen to be wearing. I'm comfortable with the standard belt clips so I haven't changed a thing.

Well, the standard spring steel clips like the OP has are made to go over the belt, but some clips like the Alessi Talon are specifically made to go on the pants and under the belt. That's why los asked what kind of clips he had.
