His pistol got caught up in his shirt during his draw. Not a pistol malfunction per se, rather a failure to make a proper draw.

Both the pistol and the shirt are black, which might make it hard to see if your screen is darker than average. Have you checked the brightness level on your monitor?

Thanks, but I'm already well aware of that fact.

The photo was taken as a training aid. It's wise not to use a real firearm when doing initial training for handling a "wardrobe malfunction".

It's not anything to get excited about.

Wasn't meant to insult or offend you. My screen must be dark also because at first that was the only thing that looked wrong with that picture was that the "model" in the picture forgot to put his real gun back in his holster after a day of training or playing with his kids.

The PIC looks fine to me and there is nice detail in the black shirt area. Just FYI.
I used to have a monitor that would display some PICS extra dark (darker than other folks would be seeing the identical photo) even when it was set to 100% brightness level.

+1 Putting enough distance between yourself and the attacker to enable the draw is a better move IMO.

I think the illustration is a good advertisement for carrying hammerless revolvers when drawing out from under a shirt like that.....

And if someone is that close, just jam the revo down into their groin and start pulling the trigger; I know a friend of mine who is a medical examiner for the city told me one time that is one of the best places to hit someone if you want to end a fight quickly. He told me about a case they had when he worked in Chicago where an LEO struggled with a Rapist, who was trying to get the officers' gun which went off in the BGs groin area. Before the LEO got the guy cuffed he had passed out, and was dead before reaching the hospital. The LEO swore up & down that the wound should not have been fatal, but the autopsy my friend did revealed that the round had entered on the right side of the genital area, glanced off his pelvic bone and severed the femoral artery in his right leg. He then bled out in minutes.

We teach default targeting to the groin because it is super vascular and had a great physiological effect. You do however need to train to make happen under the worst circumstance. I carry a hammmerless revolver more than any other gun by the way

+1 there. I like the fact that, it can also be fired from inside a jacket pocket if needed. Everyone should have one in their stable.
