None of the above.

There are two driving forces in life. Throughout history they have been referred to as Ying and Yang, Good and Evil, Light and Dark, Fear and Greed. In balance they allow one to achieve without crossing the line. The absence of either ends with grave results.

Violence has been a natural human event since Adam ate the apple and fell from grace with God. Cain reinforced that principal in fine human fashion.

Is the last answer an 'all of the above'? Because, all of the above are natural occurrences. There is always violence. There is always a fight between good and evil. We cannot pinpoint a cause of all violence. Cause and effect, but what caused the 'cause'? It's an eternal cycle.

Left unchecked by a proper upbringing, belief in a higher power, or personal development with a belief of something more than 'self'...evil is a natural occurrence...OMO

Of course every human (as well as many other species) is capable of violence. Violence is not necessarily evil; for example, a tiger killing its prey is violent but not evil.

That's a good point. We automatically associate violence with evil, but they're not always the same.

I lash out in anger usually because I want something that I can't have by the means that I am employing.

Violence is the result of ignorance joined to ambition.

Oh yeah.......

Violence is a result of energy let loose.

At the gun range violence is a result of pulling the trigger.
