| Defensive Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry a gun also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver. |

Unusual carry methods?
The thread in the concealed carry holsters forum got me thinking. I carry my pistols on either my Beltster or my PagerPal, both of which could be considered unusual.
I carry a Benchmade Balisong clipped in my right pocket, but with my pistol, mag lite, and two cell phones (Work sucks, but you gotta pay the bills). I also carry a Boker Nealy Escort in a magnetic sheath screwed and zipped into my left boot.Anybody else carry weird, or is it just me? ![]() ![]()

Nice idea with the knife and boot.
I am almost exclusively OWB, with sometimes BUG in ankle or pocket rig. Most unusual I guess has been SmartCarry - in the very rare instances when deep meant ''deep'' ![]()

I discovered something today that has me giddy with joy. Take one pocket holster, stick it in hidden internal compartment of jacket, bam, quick concealment holster and rig for an XD40. Works fantastic.

I've carried that way before, but it really gave me the heebie-jeebies. Something I just got, that you might like:
http://www.shivworks.com/stylus.asp From: www.customknives.com/jonesbrothers I've carried it for a week now, through several "areas" -doesn't even get a second look. ![]() FYI: I got plain black, and, as I said, it's totally "invisible". |

It's on the outside of my ankle, so it's extremely easy to ge to.

I used to carry my Companion on my boot. Clipped the sheath handle down to the top of the boot and used a blousing strap around the lower part of the sheath to keep it from moving around. It worked pretty well. In this orientation, the butt of the knife was about 1" above the hem of my pants--enough for concealment but still easy and fast to access.

The Nealy sheath system is very versatile -- both the Escort and its more expensive siblings are good blades if you don't mind a guardless knife.

Phil, ******* good idea with the knife hanging inverted inside your jacket. I really like my Escort; blade length is short enough to allow me not to get hassled by LEOs if questioned, and since San Antonio has a prohibition against locking blades, a fixed blade is what I carry.
