Defensive Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry a gun also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

I'm still trying to figure out what those "tactical pens" offer that my Cross 3-in-1 and/or capped gel rollerball doesn't. I can stab with these just fine, I can use them as a lever for locks, I can use them as pressure point manipulators, and I can write with them just dandy. In fact, there was a guy that was developing all of this "new" high-speed/low-drag tactical pen stuff with a basic Cross clicker back in the 60s and 70s.

High speed low drag note taking? The ability to write Tactical Prose?

Don't get me wrong, if I was looking to spend $100.00 plus on a pen I'd get a Benchmade or Surefire.

To be honest, I was idly thinking about getting one of the original model Benchmade pens last week but they only had them in Perky Pink and Slutty Red. I was thinking about it later and decided against it because of the above and the fact that this particular model screams "Misc Tool o' Death" much more than it screams "I'm just an innocent pen".

Cross worked back in the day and I'm quite certain it'll work fine now.

If you want one, here's someone who has them in black for a good price.
1100 Pen Series 1100-1 Charcoal Anodized Body/Blue Pen Grip/Blue Ink - BM1100-1

Thay also have the Timberline Lightfoot pen. More Kubotany, less stabby.

Easy carry on's...CD's can be broken in half and used as a blade,"Pocket Sharky"
Cold Steel Knives sand the logo off and paint it w/flat black paint...these have weight and are very tough...a nylon web belt, great for strangle or securing the perp.Schrade makes a great Tactical Pen...I bought one from Amazon for $22.00,very well made and tough.

I got three of the full size Sharkey's (One is in my B.O.B.) on sale for about $3 each from Cold Steel. I think I like the mini version better and I like the idea to sand and paint them...
