Defensive Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry a gun also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

Real life stun gun tests

Guy tests Stun Guns on himself from 60,000 volts up to 950,000

YouTube - STUN GUN Collection Test up to 950,000 Volts

Enjoy Doesn't look too effective in a defense situation.

It does have the drawback of needing contact, plus the effect is only valid as long as you're willing to keep contact, which doesn't make sense for a defense scenario.

I guess it works for prison guards or nightclub bouncers - basically, pain compliance, not so much pure defense. I guess its better than nothing but overall, doesn't seem like a great choice. Upside is that it is legal to carry in many areas. For example, I can carry one on my campus legally for self-defense.

LOL It's kind of funny watching idiots hurt themselves.

I wonder how many people have gotten killed because they read the lie on seemingly every website that sells stun guns, that even a lowly 65k stungun 1-2 second burst will "render an assailant unconscious or near paralyzed for up to ten minutes, thus ending the threat and allowing you to get to safety" and figured it was all they needed....

Stupid people will find new and inventive ways to be stupid no matter what. I can see the stun gun or tazers being used in crimes, I bet it would help a purse snatcher catch his victim off guard, etc.
