Defensive Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry a gun also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

With all of the Hollywood slasher genre of movies out there it is no wonder that some people view a person with a pocket knife as the second coming of Freddy Krueger.

BTW, my wife carries a Gerber pocket knife in her purse, so not all women are either.

Maybe if you had a small pair of plastic handled shears to open her bag she wouldn't have been so horrified.
Not entirely;
My son is nine. He has been collecting knives for the last 3 yrs. Mom collects knives and we both are becoming firearm enthusiast and competitors. I also have a daughter that has just turned 7. Both my son and daughter have their own 22lrs and my son uses a 410 as well.

My point being; there are parents that are raising there children up with a healthy respect for 2 amendment rights and a love of shooting.

If you carry in Condition 3, you have two empty chambers. One in the weapon...the other between your ears.

That is true. I am also glad to see that boys and girls still receive pocket knives as gifts from their responsible parents.

Remember... They are sheep, and as such are almost as afraid of the sheepdog as they are the wolf.

Man people are dumb. I carry a 3" benchmade and get so many looks if I take it out and flick it open to open something. People act like I've just pulled a bomb out of my pocket. Then I go home to my smaller town, and all is well again.
