Defensive Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry a gun also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

Busse Knife - Updated Sheath PIC - Last post.

Busse Combat (NMSFNO)
Nuclear Meltdown Special Forces Natural Outlaw

This is not my photo. My knife will arrive within a few days.
After I get mine and I make/design my (I hope) ultimate sheath for it...I'll post new photos and ditch this PIC after I take my own photos.
Since this is a large knife I'm thinking of making a sheath that drops down off the belt a bit and will pivot AKA follow the bend of the leg for easier sitting.

All comments and intelligent critique and criticism always welcome.

Steel: INFI Blade length: 8" Overall Length: 14"

Thickness: Appx. .250" Hardness: 58-60 Rc

I always did like and appreciate a larger knife.
My long time outdoorsy philosophy is that you can accomplish nearly everything with a larger knife that you can do with a smaller knife but, there are just some tasks that absolutely cannot be easily accomplished with a smaller blade without much extra expended/wasted time and energy. So...by packing a knife that handles chopping and shelter building tasks easily I can eliminate the carry of an AX and just add a smaller lightweight folder for finer camp mundane cutting chores.

That'll work.

A nice KYDEX sheath would look good for that and be nearly indestructable.

A few words come to mind.
sword, machete, RUN, heavy. (hmm, after looking around a bit, I guess it is not that big is it.. 8" is not 18")

it looks like it is more designed to be a short sword then a knife. mild stabing use but great hacking use.

Well, when it comes to strictly chopping tasks I don't think any knife beats the Busse Battle Mistress so this one is a bit of a smaller compromise.

Anybody that thinks that the legendary INFI steel is hype needs to watch all 11 of the knifetests.com Battle Mistress destruction videos.
I don't know of any other knife that could go through all of that.
They are on youtube.
I am the sort of guy that needs to see it to believe it and those Vids were what ultimately sold me on the NMSFNO.

For the price, it ought to take out 'Superman'......but I understand the value of a good knife.
It's one of those tools that is great to have, but never get around to just buying it.

Good luck with that excellent 'blade'.

Very nice , I use a cheap Cold Steel Bushman, but like the large blade knife for basic wilderness camping.
