Defensive Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry a gun also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

I just recently got the RAT Izula knife and i really really like it. It's small, but not too small. It came with a great kydex sheath. It also came with the mole mounting system which comes with the kit, which i thought was decent but i'll probably swap it out for a tek-lok. Besides my benchmade griptillian in D2 steel, the Izula is becoming my favorite.

Aged Grunt,sir

I have had my TOPS Ranger's Edge for a couple of weeks now, in a nice Kydex sheath with a pivoting clip. It is a 4" blade, but otherwise fits your specs to a 't'. It feels darn good in the hand, and if needed for duty would certainly make a respectable impression, as it were. I also wear it 'strong side', and have become quite adept at drawing and firing my 1911 with my 'weak' right hand . p.s. I got it from Knifetrek.com. Today it is listed for $126.00, and though it says it comes with nylon sheath, mine came in the Kydex pivot clip model.

My choices would be the ka-bar Becker Necker (3.25"), the RAT Izula or the Boker Edit.

I carry a TDI but use it on my weak side in the event that my strong side arm is occupied in melee or injured.

Strong side front pocket usually houses either Benchmade Rukus, Cold Steel Recon 1 or kershaw Junkyard Dog II.
