| Defensive Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry a gun also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver. |

What's the Secret for Gun / Knife Carry?
My Cold Steel sheath is 1&3/4" x 1/8" and my Ka-Bar sheath is 2" x 3/16". My gun belt is too thick for either. Of particular interest are replies from those who carry either of these two knives.

I just carry my knife in my pocket. Particularly the watch pocket of jeans if I'm wearing them. That might not be the answer you're looking for though.

Sorry I don't quite understand your question.
![]() Are you wanting to know about carrying Cold Steel and Ka Bar fixed blade knives or gun and knife carry in general? A good leather belt can solve some problems of concealed carry. Some of the holster maker sponsors of DC sell belts designed for that very purpose. I hope this helps you somewhat. ![]()

Sounds like you need to seek the services of a custom sheath maker.

Oh, those are fixed blades...
I guess pocket carry would be out of the question then. My carry knife is a switchblade/folder. . . .

I see now. Maybe one of the custom holster makers can make you a pouch or a sheath that slides on your belt and leaves the top half of your knife exposed for a quick draw. Pure Kustom makes a lot of different items in leather, perhaps you could try there first.

The best solution would be to have custom sheaths made. Or you could buy some Kydex and make your own belt attachment. |

People do some amazing and beautiful things with leather, but IMO Kydex (or Concealex) is best for utilitarian concealed carry purposes. |
