Defensive Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry a gun also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

Walking aid

My "impact weapon" is in my hand every time I walk out the door of my house.

I have three canes that I regularly use, ALL picked with their "multi-task" function in mind.

Two are wood canes used when I dress up and want to look a bit more pollished, both hand made from Bo staffs and VERY functional. One is Cocabola wood and the other is Rock maple, neither are counter balanced or weighted to cause notice if "inspected". In fact, both of them have passed airport security inspection, although the cocabola was commented on that it was VERY heavy.

My everyday cane is a basic adjustable metal cane that can be found almost anywhere except for one difference, it is heavy guage steel tubing rather than the common aluminum tubing seen in most places.

With proper training and regular practice a cane is an effective defensive weapon that is often overlooked by the average person.

I have a 120 lumen LED flashlight I got off ebay that does double duty as a Kubaton. As you can see in the picture it is part of my EDC carry.

It is a tad short and a tad fat as a standard Kubaton however I have practiced with it and can manipulate it well. In my hand, it does stick out far enough to use in hammer strikes as well. It has a deep grooved checkered grip which provides a solid purchase on the barrel. The lanyard I provided myself.

Since the picture was taken I have gotten a Ruger LCP which is now my usual BUG. I will either use the G-23 or the XD9sc as primary depending on attire. If I'm traveling out of town in unfamiliar places, I still often carry G-23 as Primary and XD9sc as BUG. Spare magazines for each gun as well. I just forgot to include them in the picture.

But I do like having less lethal tools with me on a daily basis which is why I carry the FOX OC and the Flashlight/Kubaton.
