Defensive Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry a gun also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

Kershaw has the best customer service and warranty in the production knife community. They break a lot because of all the springs. My Dad is fond of them. He keeps breaking them and I keep sending them back. I think I have done it 5-6 times with different models. Nothing but the Al Mar SERE 2000 for me when it comes to a utility knife.- George

Ok guys so far so good.

The good parts:
Much lighter than the Storm.

Opens really easy 99% of the time I can open it with just the flipper tab.

Very ergonomic.... fits the hand well.

Locks solid no wiggle up or down or side to side.

The clip is sufficient.. I like the one on the Storm and the Leeks better.

Shape and width of the blade are very nice
.
Very sharp and a great tip out of the box as with all Kershaws.

Quiet opening.

The bad:
The thumb studs are pretty much useless the are to far in the notch to get your thumb on. Although they do help if you don't flip it open on the 1st try.

I may put the clip on the bad side eventually will wear it for a bit longer.

Hollow ground blade... I am just not a big fan of them that's just me.

Break in time....I probably flipped it 200 times before it was loose enough to open with out flipping the wrist.

All in all I am very satisfied a lot of knife for the money would not hesitate to suggest it to someone. Just remember it is a flipper and not an assist opener.
