Defensive Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry a gun also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

New EDC working blade

Was working in the shop last night had my Kershaw Storm was opened and laying on the bench forgot about it moved a box and whamo it fell off the bench...and yes right on the tip...crap broke about a 1/4" off of it.

I have carried it for almost 3 years and loved it. went to Wally World to pick up another one since I am a huge Kershaw fan and saw a Kershaw Skyline in the case. Well it came home it is MUCH lighter than the Storm and I actually like the shape of the blade a bit better I think. I loved the big belly on the Storm but it was kinda useless for EDC. Will post more in a week or so after I have carried it for a while.

Here is a web pic of the Skyline I can't find my darn camera will post pics of the storm after I get it reshaped.

I have to agree with your assessment, jbum. The kershaw Skyline is probably the best EDC knife you'll find for that price point. Light, easy to deploy, decent steel that is shaving sharp from the box, cheap...it's just an excellent bang ---> buck purchase and you'd be hard pressed to do better.

Skyline is excellent bang for the buck. My favorite feature is the lack of liners, and the awesome weight. Been carrying for a year now, and no complaints from me..

Just got a Kershaw Tanto Blur....and LOVE it!!
Not your average "box-cutter".....!!
Don't hesitate to send the damaged blade back to Kershaw....they stand behind their Lifetime Warranty 110%!!
....and they're "MADE IN U.S.A."!!! Gotta love that!!

Got one of these in a trade last week. NOt a bad little knife, but I wish the flipper worked better. I even loosened the pivot screw a bit, but it doesn't want to 'flip' open without a wrist snap too.
