Defensive Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry a gun also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

That weight seems off the wall for a small knife with carbon fiber and a titanium liner. Gerber lists my full sized EVO at 2.8 oz without all that lightweight sophistication. The mid sized EVO is about the same size as your SL 3.25 and is listed at 2.4 oz.

Gerber no longer lists the SL 3.25 as it is now discontinued, but this site confirms your specs: Gerber Sl 3. 25s Carbon Fiber Handle Linerback Knife It is for the serrated model but the specs should be the same.

I’ve always suspected that my EVO is heavier than they list. I would also suspect yours is lighter.

Next time I’m in the post office when they aren’t busy I’ll ask them to weigh mine.

I don’t recommend the EVO for someone who wants a fast opening knife BTW. I like the knife once I get it open, but usually carry something else. The SL 3.25 looks like a nice EDC assuming they got the weight wrong.

Nice knife! I always liked their pocket clips also, I noticed its still profiled like the ones on my EZ-Out's..very easy to clip on to pocket and not to tight, just right. yea i'd be interested in this knife also ..i've never had a problem with my gerbers :)

It's gotta be a typo, I've seen other companies(even spyderco) mix up the published weights on some of their models from time to time.
There's just no way that little knife with CF and titanium liners weighs even close to 6.oz(which is what an all stainless handled 4" Endura would weigh) ..my guess would be closer to 3.oz ;)
