Defensive Knives & Other Weapons Most people that carry a gun also carry a knife or other weapon as a backup. Finding a good blade is often harder than finding a good pistol or revolver.

Need OC spray suggestion

I am coming down the home stretch in assembling my daily carry equipment. I've gun the gun, knife, light and spare mag. The only thing left is OC spray. I would like to get some OC spray that is small. Something with a pocket clip would be wonderful. What I am going for is something I can clip inside my pocket (Like my knife and light) and carry discretely for when I am at work (Can't carry my pistol at work). Any suggestions?

I get mine here...
DPS Pepper Spray - Pepper Spray - J & L Self Defense Products

What ever you buy...buy two of them so that you can try one out.
You should know how far it REALLY sprays.
Spray it on a windy day, you'll get some back in the face, and you will want to know how that feels...can you still concentrate on SD issues with that happening?

Check with your laws to see what kind of pepper spray is legal.

I'll second J&L. Great company. I have bought dozens of OC keychain units from them. Their shipping is FAST! Their product is always fresh.
The DPS spray is identical to Fox Labs but, with 5' greater effective distance.
Phone your order in.

I was carrying a Taurus 709 but my wife fell in love with it. So I passed it on to her and it's her new CCW. I am carrying a S&W 908 and loving it. I am a lot more confident with it then I was the 709.

Is there anything by chance that is small enough to fit in a front pocket that has a pocket/belt clip?

I just put my DPS spray right in my pocket without any holder. I have never had a problem with the top twisting and spraying...I want to be able to get to it quickly...neither do I want it seen on a clip or a chain. OMO

Freeze Plus P is a stream type that minimizes chances of "blowback" in wind. Several major LE agencys use it.
Never carry pepper spray in a front pocket or anywhere near "the boys." It could be extremely painful, even with just the residue on the nozzle.

Hey all I wanted to add my 2 cents in here. I have been hit directly with OC and numerous times on blow back and none of it is fun. Cold Steel ( the knife company) has some stuff called INFERNO, it has black pepper granulates in it that make you have an inhalation reaction when it hits you. Its BAD@$$!! I watched the video of it and it seems very powerful. It comes in a pen size clear up to the Dog The Bounty Hunter size. not super expensive either. comes out as foam and turns to liquid on the body, reduces blow back too. Just remember to spray and move, spray and move, spray and run. Check out youtube they may have some vids on it.
