I have sold some. not as strong as the metal extensions , but seems plenty strong if you add a mag clamp.

I had an AT with my 20" 870. Never had a problem with it. Didn't have the support thingie either.

Thanks. I think I'll give them a shot. Regular steel extenders cost almost $50.
