I have been checking out the lasers that go into your barrel, They fit into a fitted caliber based "sleeve"..either from the chamber or from the muzzle. I just got a new rifle (30-06) with a scope and was curious how well these things work as far as sighting goes? What are the best brands to use? Which ones work best? Cost effective? Which ones dont mark up your barrel? etc..
(I believe I saw a LOT of them from www.natchezss.com) S ![]()

I prefer the ones that chamber like a normal round like the AimSHOT Laser Bore Sight and arbors.
Virtually any bore sighter will do however, as the point is to get you on paper, not be a pin-point instrument: some are just faster to get to that pointn than others. You can do all the refinements with the scope after you get on target.

I use the Aimshot brand that uses arbor that load just like a normal cartridge. They seem to work pretty good so far, but don't fall into the cost effective category.
