I guess my tastes run more to the less costly guns. I picked up a CETME at a gun show this week for $280. I can't wait to try it out.

I don't have expensive tastes on everything, but when the chips are down, I've stuck with platforms I trust implicitly. The Cetme here has been 100% in function but I'm not happy with the stock mag release or the speed of mag changes. I also couldn't get the consistent over 200m accuracy with it I wanted - it's minute of human being, but nothing more. The sad thing is that if the trigger pack that came with the parts kit that I bought for the "evil features" parts a few months back was legal (I threw it away after stripping out what I could use) I suspect it'd be a totally different gun - even on semiauto. The factory trigger pack was very, very good. It's a shame we're stuck with the lousy ATF packs. |

My ARs are not "tactical" that would add $200 to the price tag. I just build normal ones.

i'm so tactical it hurts.
i'm calculating my ninja-tude at about level 9: surefire foreend (+4), trijicon tripower (+3), vertical foregrip (+1), buis flip up rear sight (+1 and not pictured). i rule! edit - i completely forgot another two points! one for the tactical oakley shades that let me scan covertly, plus another point for being tactically large. yes, being fat can be considered 'tactical', since we have more mass for our bodies to consume than you skinny peeps do. trust me, when the SHTF it'll take us a good month before we start to look like we've missed a meal. hehehe.... |

Simple: Customized Marlin 336CS. Trigger-Action job so it's supper slick... chopped down to 16 inches... Accurized... holds 5+1 of good old fashioned .30-30 and it can place each one precisely where I want it. It's my CAR-30-30. Cowboy Assault Rifle. CombatEffective - Very nice. I'm going to be ordering some black synthetics myself... what kind are those and where did you get them? |
