"Finishing" an SKS
I had purchased an ATi Fiberforce stock for my SKS. I loved it. I recently purchased the ATi Ultralight bipod which attaches to the bayonet lug, as well as a cheap scope and mount from J&G. The rifle looks "cooler" in the ATi stock, but I love the way the SKS looks now with the original stock. It doesn't look as cool, but now it just looks classic!!!
I was curious if anyone out there had put a finish on one of their SKS stocks and if they had pictures to post. I'm not looking to put a bright shine on a rifle like that, just something to seal the stock from weather, etc. ------------- EDIT: I found some good pictures. I also found some really nice stocks from a guy who made them. Something like nouglyguns.com or something along those lines. Too bad he doesn't make them anymore. I was lookin for something similar as well. I'm not exactly great with paint. Without using an ATi stock, any suggestions?
