Rock and Glock none of it is expensive. The AK is a Romanian WARS-10 that my brother-in-law got for me for less than $300. The furniture is made by TDI Arms or it might be TAI Arms. Its hard to tell since the letters are blending together. I forgot where I got the furniture or what I paid fot it but I'm sure I do not have more than $600 in the rifle.

OOOOH Good looking...

I might have to invest in some nice plastic furniture.

Thanks for the idea.

A question...

How does Sec.922R fit into these mods?

I was looking at some furniture for my SKS, and kept seeing this note that Sec. 922R applies. I tried doing my own research and ended up even more confused. It seemed that if you changed one part, you had to change a total of ten parts (the actual number varies, depending on the original rifle) to make it considered "U.S. made."

Any clarification is appreciated.

Dave.

JT,

Thanks, I think! I have book marked the page to read more thoroughly and repeatedly. It is still confusing. I would hate to be the NRA's first test case though.

Yes, it is confusing. Here's one more link, from the same site. It has copies of letters from the BATF. I don't know if it makes it any clearer, but maybe reading official responses could help your comfort level.
