Yugo AKs...any good?

So a few weeks ago I picked up a gently used Yugoslavian Zastava AK-47 at a gun show for 375 bucks. Its been pretty good so far, seems to be relatively accurate, easy to maintain and clean, and has been 99.9% reliable (literally ONE FTF in 1k rounds). Recently I've been hearing rumors from friends/my brother about Yugo AKs being very sub-par and not up to the rest of the world's standards. Is there any truth to this? Has anyone else had very bad experiences? Will this rifle last me?

I hope I didn't buy a lemon...

I bought one about a little over a year ago. I was looking to get a romanian AK when I ran across the Yugo. It was nicer finished and felt heavier than the Romanian AKs and was not much more money. Like you I bought it knowing nothing about Yugo AKs. I've had no problems with mine and from what I've read since I bought it they are concidered well made variations of the AK. One noteable difference between the Yugo and most other AKs is that the Yugoslavian versions do not have chromed barrels. Keep the bore clean and this shouldn't be an issue.
